Passé Composé
I’ve always been haunted by the passing of time, memory, traces, and souvenirs—by what is and what will no longer be. Inexorably. These themes inspired a personal project about my two grandmothers who have passed away, with their house as the main focus. Through this project, and by documenting their objects from the past, belonging to an older generation, I aimed to preserve traditions and customs that are gradually disappearing, thereby creating a link between past and present. “The house is like memory, it protects memories.”
